Our Story

Nestled within a fully working family farm in Morpeth, Lough House Farm is a lovingly restored barn wedding venue, designed to feel both romantic and wonderfully relaxed. The Dungait family has cared for this land for over 40 years, and in 2017 the barn saw its first wedding - for Jane Dungait and her husband, Rory. The celebration was so unforgettable that Lough House Farm Weddings was born the very next year.

Once a space for threshing grain and sheltering livestock, the barn now welcomes gatherings of up to 150 guests - a place where history, heart, and celebration come together. We only host one wedding per week, giving you exclusive use of the venue over three days: one to set up, one to say “I do,” and one to wind down. No rush. No pressure. Just space and time to create your perfect day.

Flexibility is at the core of what we do. You’re free to choose your own caterers, bring in your preferred bar, and shape the day exactly as you imagine it. Our experienced wedding planner is on hand to guide you through the process and coordinate everything on the day, so you can relax and enjoy every moment.

At Lough House Farm, your wedding isn’t just an event - it’s your story. We simply give it a beautiful place to unfold.

Our Difference, Your Day

At Lough House Farm, we host just one wedding a week, giving you time, space, and peace of mind. Our three-day hire - set-up, wedding day, and clear-down - makes everything relaxed and unhurried. You can even add an extra day if you need it.

We’re completely flexible, too: no required suppliers, no high bar prices… just a beautiful blank canvas for you to create the day you’ve always dreamed of.
